PROJECT: INTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN PROPOSAL FOR SIAM PERFORMING ART AND COMMUNITY CENTER
STUDENT: NUTCHANARD BUTKRUT
LOCATION: BANGKOK, THAILAND
AREA: 54,514 sq.m.
Currently, Thai media and entertainment industry are advancing and gaining recognition on a global scale. Moreover, they are also encompassing movies, music, series, and television programs. The government and various organizations are actively supporting this trend, providing more opportunities for young people interested in showcasing their talents. However, it's still not sufficient to meet the demands of many Thai youth.
Therefore, the Siam Performing Art and Community Center Project, or " Play Perf " is established and hold on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Siamkit Building in Siam Square, Bangkok, for the time being. The project is divided into three parts which are
1. Performing area, providing space for individuals to showcase their abilities.
2. Community area, a space for meeting, conversation, and inspiration
3. Commercials area, offering rental spaces for music rehearsals, performances, dancing, and recording studios.
The project comes from the main motto of Play Perf, "Dream Dare Do," which encourages everyone to dare to pursue their dreams. The concept for the design is "Dreams come true," expressed through elements, colors, shapes, and forms.
The project is divided into 2 sections:
-2nd floor featuring the play yard (relaxation area), play performance (practice rooms and recording studios), and playhouse (concert hall)
-3rd floor including the backstage cafe (cafe and co-performing space) and music library (library and exhibition space).
