AREA: 7,192 sq.m.
Huai Kwang Fresh Market was neglected and fell into disrepair even though it is a large public area for the community. This market is under the supervision of the National Housing Authority (NHA).
The objectives of the NHA include the provision of housing and community facilities, the maintenance, improvement and development of housing, and the improvement of the quality of life of residents in social, economic and environmental terms. The National Housing Authority (NHA) is a government-owned company responsible for developing and improving various aspects of housing across the country. It plays a crucial role, especially in areas that are affected by decay or conflict in various ways, such as the Huai Kwang Fresh Market, which serves as an important commercial hub for communities facing numerous challenges.
Currently, the NHA focuses on the sustainable development of organizations, increasing assets and strengthening the local economy through technology and innovation. It also focuses on creating sustainable livelihoods and community-based economies.
The projects and activities implemented by the NHA thus play an important role in promoting community development and upliftment across the country, especially in areas facing decay or conflict in various ways, by supporting and promoting smart and sustainable community projects that are in line with national strategies.
It consists of three main zones:
Economic Zone: This area includes different types of businesses categorized according to the types of commodities and management practices.
Social Zone: This area is the place where members of the community engage in various activities aimed at developing the potential of the community and doing justice to all.
Environmental Zone: This area supports waste segregation, recycling and green spaces to provide a breathable environment for the residents of Huai Kwang.
