MAI SAMUI BEACH RESORT & SPA is a hotel under MAI RESORT GROUP, a residential company that owns numerous hotels and resorts, for example, SEAVIEW PATONG, BY THE SEA, ANDAMAN SEAVIEW, MAI KHAOLAK, and as well as
‘MAI SAMUI.' Its location is in Koh Samui, Surat Thani, Thailand. MAI SAMUI was built in 2009 or more than 13 years. Therefore, renovation is required to serve changes in the world by being a bridge connecting Samui
’s neighborhood with travelers and guests of the hotel.
MAI SAMUI BEACH RESORT & SPA is located in Northern part of Koh Samui, Surat Thani, close to river neighborhood, which are the most ancient Chinese community. The resort is built next to Laem Yai beach the outskirts of the main busy places of Samui. Not only having strength on being a peaceful beach comparing to the rest of the island, its outstanding part is the sunset can always visible to be seen throughout the year.
The renovation project aims to attract new tourist by engaging with people in the neighborhood to deliver experiences and new knowledge about Samui to the guests. They should experience relaxation, conversations, and development of the area, and ending up supporting the neighborhood in terms of the incomes.
In representing Samui community
’s culture, there are giveaway Pin Toh, or traditional food container, to guests in the resort and mainly for dining in restaurant zone of the resort to connect traditional lifestyle and culture of Samui people to eating style called Kin Hor that has been passed through generations from past to the present day. Also, there are usage in Batik fabric, one of southern Thai
’s tradition fabric, in the resort by creating new pattern specially for the resort by using traditional architecture of Samui as well as inspiring by natural resources in creating the patterns.
