LOCATION: SURIN, THAILAND

Surin is a province rich in cultural heritage and unique craftsmanship.
Whether it's silverware, silk cloth, or straw baskets, Surin's local craftsmen all have a unique way of creating these handicrafts. However, more support is needed to help these craftsmen develop new products and meet the demands of today's market. As such, the Surin Art & Craft Center is born under the supervision of the International Arts and Crafts Support Center in order to preserve handicraft techniques and educate about traditional and new materials. The new Surin Art & Craft center aims to promote and support Surin's local craftsmanship, the pride of the Surin people.
The Surin Arts and Craft center is located at the old town hall of Surin province. The town hall has been relocated to a new building, and the original building was recommended as a new center for promoting local Surin handicrafts.
The Surin Arts and Crafts Center aims to educate the general public and promote Surin craftsmanship. This is done by dividing the center into different exhibition areas of various forms and providing workshops where members can experiment with diverse craftsmanship techniques, materials, and designs inspired by traditional Surin handicrafts.
