About the talk
In this lecture, Charif Lona, design director and owner of Studio Act of Kindness, will explore the theme "Art as Design, Design as Art" within the broader context of Bridging Boundaries: How Interior Design Connects with the Creative Industry. Charif will examine how interior design serves as a bridge between art and business,highlighting the symbiotic relationship between emotional expression in art and strategic thinking in design.
He will explore Design-Led Business vs. Business-Led Art in the Digital Culture, showing how design shapes consumer experiences and brand identities while art fosters emotional and cultural connections. Case studies such as Kiatnakin Boutique and Sretsis Parlour will illustrate how interior design merges creativity with business goals, creating immersive environments that enhance both customer engagement and brand storytelling. Ultimately,
the talk will demonstrate how art and design work together to transcend boundaries, shaping the creative industry and business success.
